Marikina, the Shoe Capital of the Philippines, has made big strides in putting in place bicycle-friendly infrastructure and supportive policies in the context of building a liveable and modern city, and is working on a clean air plan that unites and augments its air quality efforts.

In Marikina, we have built on the lessons we've learnt from cleaning up and renewing our city after a period of explosive growth, which is why we are determined to build a healthy, liveable city, which includes strongly encouraging active mobility and being vigilant about keeping our air quality healthy."
