Mayor Sadiq Khan is leading an ambitious charge to clean up London's air. London is the world's first mega-city to target the WHO's air quality guidelines for harmful PM2.5 particles. In view of this goal, Mayor Sadiq has committed to doubling spending on air quality initiatives over the next five years.

“Not a single area of London meets World Health Organization guidelines, but even worse than that, nearly 95 per cent of the capital is exceeding these guidelines by at least 50 per cent… we need to protect our children and our children’s children.”
