San Antonio’s VIA is converting its entire fleet to cleaner, greener buses fueled by compressed natural gas, replacing older buses in the current fleet. The new buses will reduce both vehicle emissions and operating costs.

The fleet conversion is an ongoing project scheduled through 2020, with 270 new buses operating by the end of 2017.

In November 2017, the San Antonio Business Journal selected the new green buses as a “transforming project,” recognizing VIA “for its focus on environmentally sustainable mobility.”
