Vancouver strives to keep its liveability high through a number of strategic plans that chart action towards sustainable urban planning and lifestyles, focused zero-emission transportation systems, that have positive impacts on air quality, climate and public health.

Vancouver has the best air quality of the world’s big cities, but this is being threatened more and more every year due to climate change. Clean air is at the core of public health, liveability, and sustainability and is therefore both a driving factor and co-benefit of our transportation and energy strategies.
