The city of Nizhny Novgorod has joined the BreatheLife campaign. With the announcement that it will reduce pollutants exceeding the level of concern by 5% by 2024 and 60% by 2030. The city already has air quality monitoring stations in some regions and air monitoring on request. It plans to increase them, develop air quality standards and set strict targets for emissions of pollutants, punishable by law.
The Russian Ecological Society, together with the Nizhny Novgorod City Administration, will keep a record about the current environmental measures implemented in the city of Nizhny Novgorod.
