Honduras is working with partners on strengthening air quality management, while also focused on updating vehicle emissions regulations and the deployment of improved cookstoves. The country of 9 million people has had an air quality plan in place since 2007.

Honduras recognizes that air pollution is a significant risk to our citizens' health and the environment. We are taking action to improve our air quality. The country aims to establish new air quality standards and air quality monitoring network to strengthen its efforts to beat air pollution."
