Can Tho, the fourth largest city in Vietnam and the largest city in the Mekong Delta, has a comprehensive Clean Air Action Plan in place that prioritizes its major sources of emissions, particularly transportation and industry, which will steer the city towards its commitment to meeting several WHO air quality guidelines for fine particle and other harmful air pollutants.
Our Clean Air Action Plan outlines the measures our city has to take to ensure healthy air quality as we develop, and unites all relevant agencies and actors towards this goal, but we need to improve our capacity and equipment and raise public awareness to hopefully prompt behavioural changes that enable people to contribute to solutions.”
