Bogor, a growing city of more than one million citizens, has a clean air action plan that covers all key emission sources, laying the foundation for multi-sector improvements in overall urban air quality, and complementing the city's existing low-carbon development efforts.

It is crucial that we look at issues such as air pollution and climate change in the context of our city’s development. Our air quality is currently good, but we are committed to improve it even as our city grows. Bogor’s Clean Air Action Plan complements the update of our mid-term development plan, providing a clear framework to target-setting and the monitoring of indicators to more efficiently guide policy and decision-making towards reaching those air quality targets."
