WHO, UN Environment and CCAC have identified a number of solution areas where cities can have the greatest impact. By identifying which of these your city will prioritize, you can more easily connect with other cities working on similar solutions. Read more about these solution areas here.
Your city chooses the measures that will have the greatest impact and meet your city’s needs. This can include reaching interim air quality targets approaching WHO limits for safe air, reduction in emissions or adoption of new city transport solutions. We look forward to being able to share these milestones on our journey to 2030.
Putting your city on the path to clean air begins with knowing current air quality levels and ensuring your citizens are informed. The network can support you in expanding current monitoring efforts and celebrating reductions through our BreatheLife air quality gauge. See how your city currently fares here.
Solutions in your city are only as successful as the citizens who they will affect. Whether it is through local advisories or citywide polling, learning what matters most to your community will help ensure success.
As part of the network you will have the opportunity to share stories highlighting progress in your city. These stories will be featured on the BreatheLife site, shared with other cities in the network and gain wider exposure through WHO, UN Environment and CCAC, BreatheLife’s campaign partners.
BreatheLife will bring together city leaders both virtually and through on-the-ground convenings, providing regular opportunities to share best practices and establish new network-wide initiatives.
